Hi Curlies,
And welcome to my new blog. I am very new and fresh to blogging and am hoping that I get to be very good at it. Being that this blog is about my hair journey, it is only appropriate that I give you a little history on my hair.
My mom was the one who did it! She permed my hair when I was 10 years old. If I was a parent with a tender headed child like I was, I would have done the same thing. My hair was so thick and course and as a child combing my hair was agony. The pain I had to endure as a child lead to many tears, arguing, and fustration. It was then my mother decided to permed my hair.
I had my first short hair cut at the age of 16 when I cut a patch of my hair out while trying to takeout braids. My sister screamed and my long hair was gone, but I loved having short hair.
Ever since then I've tried it all, weaves sewed in, wraps, pont tails, bleaches and colors, weave caps, braids, everything....Except going natural. After years of chemically transformed hair, my hair got tired. My sister noticed that my hair was thinning out. It wasn't as thick as it use to be. I tried cutting it, hoping that it would catch itself but it didn't. After months of discussion and realizing also how much money I will also be saving. I decided to go natural. So, here I am after years of perming hair. Rocking a TWA, sexy, and proud of it....
